Washington — The Environmental Protection Agency says the possibly carcinogenic chemical substance 1,4-dioxane poses “unreasonable risk” to employees underneath sure circumstances.
A final revised risk determination printed on July 26 states that 1,4-dioxane – steadily utilized in shopper merchandise – poses unreasonable dangers to employees in:

- Uses as a processing help or laboratory chemical

- Disposal

EPA reopened and up to date the risk analysis for 1,4-dioxane after publishing a final risk analysis in January 2021.
