Denmark’s Orsted has made its first funding in a British solar energy venture, the vitality developer mentioned on Wednesday.
The One Earth Solar Farm is a 740 megawatt (MW) venture slated to have battery storage within the East Midlands area of England and which is being co-developed with Britain’s PS Renewables.
Once operational, One Earth Solar Farm will generate sufficient electrical energy to energy as much as 200,000 houses, making it one of many largest photo voltaic parks in Britain, Orsted mentioned.
An Orsted spokesperson declined to say how a lot the corporate is investing within the venture.
Orsted and PS Renewables are focusing on business operation earlier than 2030.
Orsted is the world’s largest offshore wind farm developer, but in addition operates 420 MW of onshore wind farm capability in Britain and Ireland.
