my husband and I share a home office — how do we make this work?

It’s the Thursday “ask the readers” query. A reader writes:

Has anybody efficiently shared a home office (completely) with their partner/roommate/associate/and so forth and in that case, what are your suggestions for fulfillment?

My husband and I each work from home 75% of the time and have a three-bedroom home (at the moment occupied by our bed room and our two workplaces). We predict our first youngster quickly, and our present plan for as soon as everybody goes again to work is for the smallest bed room (now my husband’s office) to turn out to be the child’s room and to maneuver his desk into my office, which is way bigger.

I am nervous in regards to the feasibility of sharing an office, he doesn’t assume it will likely be a large deal. To be sincere, he solely works from his office now when he has calls (a large a part of the day) and strikes round the home the remainder of the day, however I spend many of the day at my desk and have a truthful quantity of calls myself. It’s true I used to work in an open office and had no issues with it (received my trusty noise cancelling headphones), however for some motive this feels totally different. Obviously we would prepare the desks so we’re not seen in one another’s cameras. I’m simply questioning if there’s something large we are overlooking.

If it doesn’t work out, we’ll simply strive one thing else, no large deal, however this can be essentially the most handy so if anybody has suggestions for fulfillment I’d love to listen to them.
