Washington — In mild of its latest survey of family caregivers that shows 67% battle to balance work with caregiving duties, AARP is asking on employers to create “friendly and supportive” insurance policies and advantages.

The survey, performed in partnership with monetary analytics agency S&P Global, concerned 1,200 full-time and part-time U.S. employees who present greater than six hours of unpaid care every week to one other grownup. Respondents have been employed by organizations with greater than 1,000 employees.

Other findings:

  • 27% of the caregivers mentioned they’ve shifted from full-time work to part-time or have diminished their hours, whereas 16% have turned down a promotion.
