Washington — A collection of recent resources on worker rights and employer and union duties below the National Labor Relations Act of 1935 are actually available in 17 languages.
The National Labor Relations Board’s web site affords Know Your Rights paperwork, info on immigrant worker rights and directions on tips on how to e-file expenses/petitions in Arabic, Chinese (conventional and simplified), English, French, Haitian Creole, Hindi, Hmong, Korean, Polish, Portuguese, Punjabi, Russian, Somali, Tagalog, Urdu and Vietnamese.
The board has offered multilingual help in English and Spanish through its unfair labor practices hotline – (844) 762-6572 – and can now present interpretation in different languages upon request.
“Knowledge is power,” NLRB General Counsel Jennifer Abruzzo stated in a press launch. “It’s been one of my priorities to educate workers about their rights. Workers need to know that the agency will protect them when they exercise their rights, no matter what language they speak.”
NLRB beforehand created a Spanish-language web site, on which the company launched an e-filing service for customers to file unfair labor observe expenses.
